This is the homepage of the Leeds Chess Association. 

We organise chess competitions and promote chess in the Leeds area. 

On these pages you'll find details of chess clubs in our area and links to other useful sites. 

All results and current league tables are now updated on the ECF League Management system - the LMS.

A new club has joined the Association this season - Farsley - see the Clubs page for details of their venue.

Leeds University are now playing all their home games in the Weston Room, Laidlaw Library building of the University just off Woodhouse Lane- their Clubs page entry has also been updated

Upcoming Events

The new White Rose Chess circuit, organised by the Ilkley Chess Centre consists of several tournaments across the 2025-26 season, including a new Leeds Congress, to be held at the Guiseley Theatre on 11th-12th October 2025.  Please visit their website for more information and details on how to enter  See our links page for other sources of information on tournament chess.
